How do I know you are the right wedding photographer for us?
The 4 most important things to knowing that you have booked the right photographer is their Photography, Personality, Professionalism and Price.
Firstly, you have to love the images I create and you shall have lots of opportunity to view my portfolio and sample albums prior to booking me. As a wedding photographer it is my job to capture Bride and Grooms personalities, therefore, I get to know my clients as well as them getting to know me.
I work with you throughout the day to relax you bring out the fun side of you and get the best from you. I take great pride in telling potential clients that many of my bookings are made from guests that I have met at previous weddings!
I always deliver a professional service and keep in mind that I am one of the service providers of your choice just like the florist, cake maker and so on. As expected you have paid for a professional service and this is what you shall receive.
Finally, every bride and groom work to a budget therefore if my prices are right for you, I am sure I am the right photographer for your wedding day.
What should we expect at our initial free consultation?
Normally this takes place at my studio, however I am willing to travel to your home. This will also give you the opportunity to meet me, view my work and tell me more about your plans and desires. It is always best to come prepared with questions. There is no obligation to book at this time - I want a bride and groom to be confident that I am right for them before they sign on the dotted line.
How can we be sure that we get the best from you?
The key is communication. At your consultation I will discuss the amount of time required for me to get the best shots, which will depend on your venue(s), number of guests, your expectations and the time of your ceremony.
Allocating time to get the best from me is what I recommend and I work with all couples to ensure that they are happy with the amount of time spent taking group, posed shots.
At the stages throughout the day where I am not shooting the setup shots, I spend my time mingling in the crowd to capture the candid shots, which are always loved by the bride and groom because these are the moments that are easily missed by you.
Another great idea is to provide me with a list of the must have shots, and for any group shots I like to rope in Ushers to gather the groups to save time.
We are getting married outside Edinburgh. Will you travel?
Yes, I am willing to travel, although anywhere outwith a 35 mile radius of Edinburgh city centre may incur a travel fee. Please contact me for further details.

How do we book you?
A wedding contract needs to be completed to protect both you and I, and once received along with a deposit of £200 your date shall be secured and placed in my diary.
None of your wedding packages suit us. Can we have a tailored package?
Yes. I understand that there are no two weddings the same, therefore, I can tailor a package to suit your day. Please contact me with your request or book a consultation.
How many pictures shall we receive?
All weddings offer different photographic opportunities that depend on the weather, time allocated to me, and how much the bride and groom want from their photography.
On average you will receive 200 - 300 images, sometimes more.
Please note that many more pictures are taken on the day, and the ones that do not add to the story do not make it through to the "final cut". I always tell couples that it is better to have 200 quality images that are meaningful and packed with memories, than 500 images that do not contain any substance.
Can you recommend wedding suppliers for the other services we require?
Yes. As a wedding photographer, I work with many suppliers and am willing to recommend suitable companies where possible.
How far in advance should I book?
To ensure that I am available on your wedding please complete the contact form and include your wedding date in the message field. I will let you know if my availability prior to booking a consultation.
Will all the images that we receive have been digitally altered?
Yes, I assess all images for colour and tone, then make any changes to enhance each image. The goal is not to make any radical changes which makes the image false but to enhance them. Some images are also chosen to be converted into black and white which can add drama to the final image.
Are additional prints available to purchase after our wedding?
Yes, additional items such as prints, canvasses, acrylics are available for you or friends and family to purchase after your wedding via you personal online gallery.
Can we have a pre-wedding shoot?
Pre-wedding shoots are a great way to build rapport and get used to being in front of the camera. A session can take place at either my studio or at an outdoor location of your choice for only £80. Afterwards, you can choose your 3 favourite images to be printed at 10" x 8" at no extra cost.
What's the small print?
